Popeye Marine Group is composed of dedicated individuals who love the marine industry, have a strong passion for boats, and are led by our Principal Marine Surveyor and owner, Dave Leonetti, SAMS AMS #1351.

Dave is a graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship, an ABYC Certified Marine Technician, member of the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS), Marine Propulsion & Systems Instructor, National Safe Boating Council certified Safe Boating Instructor, and experienced maritime captain holding a USCG 100T Near-Coastal Masters license with Towing endorsement. Dave has spent many years transporting vessels across the Great Lakes and Eastern seaboard along with performing marine surveys for private individuals, financial institutions, and the US Government.

Popeye Marine Group performs marine surveys on a wide variety of vessels including power and sail from 14' to 90'.

PMG was established in 2016 and continues to grow every year. We are constantly striving to better ourselves by continuing our education so we can provide you, the customer, the most thorough and professional inspection.

Our marine survey results are performed to ABYC Standards and Recommended Practices, NFPA-302, and USCG 33 and 46 CFRs. All reports are USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant to current standards.

PMG surveys are accepted at all major financial institutions and insurance companies. We will, at your request, forward the finished report to any financial or insurance institution on your behalf.
